Some people and management from all the NMSL teams arrive at the
ground. All teams were supposed to be present on the inaugural day.
Chandru: Pallavi… Pallavi, where are you?
(Jha calls to find out that Gangstars management were still in their photoshoot)
Chandru: Okay, let’s see if the other teams have arrived. Krusherz?
Dawar: I guess they are a little slow… Remember the auctions?
Chandru: Oh yeah…
Dawar: Dream Kickers are here.
Doke was busy with his mobile phone. “Hey guys, what, no ‘#SirDoke’ in facebook and twitter today!? ” Rhea was hooked to her tablet trying hard to get 1000 likes for DK facebook page. “Any ideas guys? Shall we upload selfies? Shaleen what do you say!”
In the blink of an eye, Vijayendra started clicking selfies, much to the delight of his team. Probably they didn’t know about his photographic skills!
Meanwhile, Jha had gone to join Shooterzz and Anisha joined Chandru and Dawar to help him get things going. However, she was busy replying to all the congratulatory messages after her placement. Shooterzz started discussing their ‘Berlin Wall’ strategy in a group huddle.
Gangstars alumni and supporters arrived wearing Ray Ban glasses. They couldn’t spot anyone. Dawar screamed, ‘Remove your glasses, light is fading and your team’s in all black this year!’. But they retained their suit and shades to remain loyal to Gangstars’ spirit and checked updates in facebook.
Krusherz team members began to appear one by one. Gangstars players were waiting for their management to arrive. Nikhil was losing patience, and was consoled by their seniors, “We’ve been there bro!”. Royals were nowhere to be seen. Suddenly Anisha saw videos and photos being uploaded in their facebook page… “I am from Rebellion Royals. Thanks to owners for selecting me. I am looking forward to playing for Royals. I ll be loyal to Royal. I am from Royal family, and a rebellious child. Hence my heart goes to Rebellion Royals” Anisha couldn’t stand it anymore. “Enough guys, we are behind schedule. Come on!!! Shreyans, Megha and their gang stopped everything midway and hesitantly walked towards the ground. They were joined by Goomer and Co., who arrived in full formals in sweltering heat.
Gagandeep Singh emerged from the team huddle and joined the fray with his trademark enthusiasm. Slowly, Shooterzz arrived at the ground. Apparently, they have made a slogan ‘Gods have mercy, coz we don’t!’ And it became their official chant for this season. On the sidelines, Krusherz management team were so enthusiastically explaining their logo to every ignorant person on the field… “See bhai, we have creativity, then passion, love for football, unity, aggression… If we add all this, we get Krusherz, that is us! Krusherz forever”. The organizing team had a hard time bringing the excited crowds back to control. With the enthusiasm building, all team owners had a few words to say to the media.
Shooterzz Shrey: Football is a war minus the killing. He has since been giving angry faces to photographers.
Dream Kickers: See you on the field. Anyway, you see we have the maximum likes in facebook. That means we will win, naa?
Royals: We have been royals since childhood. This is Royal blood. We are united… (the reporter ran away. They were not available for comment)
Gangstars: Are you shooting this video in black and white? No, then we are not talking.
Krusherz: Creativity + Passion + Unity + Aggression + Love = Krusherz
“Okay, you have anything to say?” “We will come back this year”
DK Management team replied to this that they were not surprised with the poll results and that they were the kings this year. Defending Champions Gangstars maintained that they don’t believe in facebook likes. Krusherz replied that the new logo is still in nascent stages but the boys have understood it fully and they will show it on the field. Shooterzz said they won’t allow even one goal to be scored, which meant only they can win. Royals were optimistic about the poll results and added that they have royal blessings to win.
